A Studio Designed With Everyone in Mind

At Hopelynd, we dream of something different. We want to provide a creative studio space where accessibility isn't an afterthought, but the foundation. From push-button entry doors to seamless, threshold-free transitions, every detail is imagined with intention. Our goal? A classy, functional, and truly inclusive space in Grand Rapids.

This space will be more than just a studio. It will be:
  • A venue for small events and intimate photo sessions
  • A rotating gallery that celebrates the work of disabled artists
  • A safe, calming sensory-friendly retreat for guests who need it

We want every person—regardless of ability—to feel seen, welcomed, and empowered here.

Why We're Building This
  • Too often, the creative world forgets to make room for everyone. At Hopelynd, we're changing that. Our studio will be a space where:
  • Accessibility is the default, not the exception
  • Creativity thrives without barriers
  • People can experience what it’s like to have their photo taken in a space made for them

If you believe in this vision too, would you consider donating to help bring it to life? Every dollar gets us one step closer to opening our doors.

While We Build...
We're currently hosting pop-up sessions throughout Grand Rapids with our team of talented, accessibility-minded photographers. These sessions help fund the dream—and keep our mission alive in the meantime.

We absolutely love how the pictures turned out! Hopelynd’s mission and core values made our family seen, respected, and heard with our medically complex child. Thank you for capturing our family so beautifully, we will cherish these photos forever!

— CLAIRE

Hopelynd is absolutely amazing. Knowing that my family could be represented in its truest form made my heart swell. The photos are beautiful, but even more meaningful was the inclusion and sense of normalcy they brought to the entire experience. We can’t recommend them enough!

Photographer Resource

The Accessible Family Questionnaire is a thoughtful, Canva template created to help photographers better understand every family they work with — not just those with disabilities. This form opens the door to meaningful communication about comfort, preferences, and access needs so every client feels valued and supported from the very first interaction.
